Arpilleras (page 2)
I collect arpilleras for about 15 years.The first time I saw her in the early nineties in an exhibition at the City Library in Haltern in Westphalia and since then they have me totally hooked. Whenever I had “one cent”, I try to buy one of these little wall hangings. It is always difficult because they are hardly sold in Germany, it does not pay well! I was told: “What do they want to this, these are no longer “in”. In or not in, for me they are little works of art, each one unique, which tell me much and I can watch again and again.
